Sit This (And Every Other) Election Out
The precursor to This Is America.
This is the second article I wrote back in 2020 that I'm republishing to Substack, written on Minds and a month and a half (maybe two?) before writing This Is America as my first actual Substack article after creating the pinned post.
Fuck Minds, and fuck the Biden regime.
Wouldn’t refer to him as a “führer” nowadays, mostly down to the fact that he isn’t deserving of that title.
America has the illusion of choice this November. Either "elect" the man who has aspirations to turn America into a fascist state or another who is actively suffering from rapid dementia each day of his life.
Welcome to election season, where regardless of who you vote for it's overwritten by a group of elitists known as the Electoral College.
What The Electoral College Is
According to the mainstream definition, the Electoral College is a body of governmental electors that determines the outcome of every election the United States has ever had. From the very first election to the upcoming one, regardless of the public vote they ultimately have the power to choose who the president is while pretending that it's justified for them because they're "qualified" to do so rather than the people.
In certain cases, they're indeed more seasoned and less emotionally motivated people than the general population in states such as California or Texas. But at the same time, they're just as biased (if not more so) than the people they make electoral decisions with due to their stubbornness to change or the fact that they want to change so much too quickly.
What The College DOES
The system we have in place makes it clear that the people aren't in control of their vote since it could be superseded by the vote of representatives that might not even have their state's best interests at heart.
Maybe the College was a useful system during a time where the general American population was uneducated and would more than likely make decisions based purely on emotion (some things stand the test of time) rather than reason and logistics, but in a modern society where the majority has a high school education as a minimum, the long-established belief that we're better off not being to vote directly is flawed at best and overtly suppressive at worst.
With everything that has happened in the world, the country, and even the state it's time to break free from a corrupt government's shackles and destroy the part of society that the people can unite against.
The day the Electoral College is abolished and direct voting becomes its replacement will be the day that voting finally matters.
